Dr. Doug
earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Detroit in
1988 and his veterinary doctorate degree from Michigan State University
in 1992. Dr. Molly and Dr. Doug have three children; Frances, Margaret
and David. They live on a farm in neighboring Washington Twp.,
where they raise Hampshire sheep and Boer goats. In Dr. Doug’s
spare time, he enjoys bicycling, jogging, gardening and following the
Spartan sports teams. |

Dr. Molly was raised on a small hobby farm here in
Washington and attended Baldwin Elementary, Van Hoosen Jr. High, and
Adams High School. Dr. Molly then ventured out west to Utah State
University to earn a Bachelor of Science in Bio-Veterinary Science
before returning to Michigan State University for Veterinary school.
Dr. Molly currently works part-time at the GVC and enjoys raising the
Angel children, lambs, kids and crias. As for spare time, you may
spot Dr. Molly at any sheep show or even riding her mountain bike around
the park! |

Dr. Jill Savage is a 2001 graduate of the
Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Following
graduation, she completed an internship in internal medicine, surgery,
and emergency and critical care at the Companion Animal Hospital of
Cornell University in Ithica, NY. She joined GVC in October 2002. She
lives with her husband, Sean, and their son, Noah, born in September
2006. Their “four-legged” children include Cheyenne, a golden retriever,
Finnegan, a lob; and three cats, Romeo, Hailey, and Birdie (although technically Hailey
is three-legged, and Birdie now lives at GVC). When not working, Dr.
Savage enjoys many hobbies, including reading, cooking, home
improvement, and outdoor activities. |

Dr. Lisa Degner

Dr. Degner lives with her husband of
13 years, Dr. Dan (also a veterinarian). They have a son
Ethan (born in August 2004) and a daughter Autumn (born in May 2007),
and a variety of pets, including two tanks of fish, 5 cats, and 2 dogs.
In her spare time, she is very active in her church. |

Dr. Kristina Yee is a 2006 graduate from
Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. Originally from Troy, she
completed her undergraduate studies at Michigan State University, spent
2.5 years on the Caribbean island of St. Kitts studying veterinary
medicine and completed her clinical training at The Ohio State
University. With primary interests in companion animal medicine and
surgery, she is also passionate about business management, professional
develop-ment and public speaking. When she is not practicing or
lecturing at veterinary schools, she loves spending time with her
family, taking her dogs to the dog park (Sammie, Ernie and Peanut) and
catching Detroit Tiger home runs at Comerica Park. Dr. Yee joined the
GVC family in the Fall of 2007, and looks forward to creating many
memorable friendships! |

Dr. Christina Hage

Dr Christina Hage graduated from University
of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. She grew up in
Nashville, TN and then went to
undergrad at Rollins
College in
Orlando,
FL where she met her husband, Phillip. Dr Hage
has been practicing in South Florida for the last three years, but is
excited about exploring
Michigan with her husband while he completes his
anesthesiology residency. Dr Hage joined the GVC family in July 2008.
Her special interests include surgery, internal medicine, ophthalmology,
and cytology. At this point all of her children are furry and include
two dogs Jada and Kalila, and two cats Shorty and Oscar. |

Luanne Smith has been with GVC since it
opened in March 1996. She currently divides her time between GVC and
developing her counseling practice, since she completed her Master’s in
counseling degree. She and her husband Dan live happily with two
greyhounds, seven cats, and an Amazon Parrot. |

Carol Carlsen

Carol has worked at GVC since 1996. She finds the receptionist position
at this busy practice interesting and challenging. The association with
this work also coincides with her other hobby, interest and passion of
showing, training and breeding Bearded Collies.

produces wonderful temperament family pets, outstanding show dogs and
agility performance dogs. |

Clara joined the GVC family in November,
enjoys getting to know GVC’s clients and patients. She grew up in the
Berkshire Mountains in Massachusetts with a variety of pets (mostly
strays who found their way to her home), and spending a great deal of
time as a child at the neighborhood vet’s office. Clara lives in Rochester with her human
family, 2 dogs, many cats, and hamsters, and the critter that makes
noise in the attic. Clara is also an avid knitter, seamstress weaver and
volunteers at Heritage Spinning and Weaving in Lake Orion. |

Julie McCreadie (L.V.T.)

Julie has been a licensed Veterinary
Technician since 1998, having earned her degree from Macomb Community
College. Julie has been an integral part of the staff at GVC since 2001.
Julie and her husband Al, and their twin boys Phoenix and J.D. live in
Sterling Heights. They share their home with four furry children, Kacey,
Tiger Kitty, Squirt, and Yoda. Julie enjoys living out her childhood dreams
everyday here at GVC. |

Renee is our full-time professional groomer. Renee
has been grooming for three years and truly enjoys it. She is the
mother of two children Britain and Destiny. She has three furry
kids Smokey, Twilight and Patty - 2 turtles and several fish. Her
hobbies are knitting and crocheting. |

Jill Gamester

Jill has been caring for the animals in her
role as Kennel Manager at the GVC for many years. Jill has shown horses
on a local and national level since she was a young girl, and continues
to ride for fun. She lives in Ortonville with her two dogs, Panda and
Paris. |

Deana is a licensed Veterinary Technician
and been with GVC since 1998. She received her degree from Macomb
Community College and went on to earn a BBA from Rochester College.
Her
family includes husband Matthew, daughter Hilary, son Zachary, dog
Cherokee, and horse Doc. |

Stacey is a licensed veterinary technician
who graduated from Macomb Community College in 2004. Stacey and her
husband Travis welcomed son Baron on November 13, 2009. Their family
also includes 3 cats, Jasper, Marley and Dylan. |

Karen, assistant kennel manager, takes pride
in making your pet’s boarding visits relaxing! Karen has been married
since 1981 to Ken Anderson. Karen has three children: Matt, currently
working in the food industry; David, a US Marine; and Katie, who is
married to Ryan Haslett, who is in the Air Force. Katie and Ryan have a
son, Weston. Karen has tow cats Zoe and Carson, and her two dogs Avery
and Parker. |

Jessica Zeeman

Jessica currently resides at home on her
family farm. She has seven horses, two dogs, and five cats. Jessica
mainly cares for the horses but loves to give all the animals as much
attention as possible! During the week, Jessica works at GVC. She is
also an avid farm sitter. When people go away on vacations, she looks
after their farms and family pets. When not working, she enjoys
horseback riding, working with 4-H youth and spending time with family
and friends. Jessica is currently enrolled in the veterinary technician
program at Penn Foster College. |

Jen graduated from
Michigan State University with a BS in Zoology and a concentration in
Zoo & Aquarium Science. She is very passionate about wildlife, she has
studied abroad in South Africa, and has interned as a Zookeeper at the
International Exotic Feline Sanctuary in Texas, and the Toledo Zoo. She
is currently a Vet Assistant at GVC, where she enjoys hands on
experience with dogs and cats, and learning something new about
veterinary medicine every day. |

Brad Albertson

Brad, who is an economics major at Oakland
University, is also a volunteer at K-9 Stray Rescue in Oxford. He loves
working with animals and usually has at least one foster dog at his
home, in addition to his own two dogs, Monty and Raven, and his cat
Lance. For fun, when not working, Brad enjoys playing hockey, video
games, and riding his outdoors toys (4-wheeler, jet ski, snowmobile). He
shares his Rochester Hills home with his own animals and foster dogs
from K-9 Stray Rescue. |

April
moved to Oakland County two years ago from Indiana, and lives in
Rochester Hills with her fiancé Roger. She has a degree in billing and
coding, and as a veterinary assistant. She volunteers at the Pitbull
Rescue, Humane Society, Friend of the Court, and two law offices.
Currently, she is attending Madonna University for a degree in pre-law
and criminal statues. She has been accepted to law school. April’s
animals include five dogs, three horses, and a goat. She enjoys
horseback riding and working with animals. |
